Zotac GeForce RTX 4060 Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse, is a special-edition custom-design graphics card by Zotac Gaming, based on the latest mainstream GPU by NVIDIA. Besides a GeForce RTX 4060 Twin Edge OC graphics card, you get some officially licensed Spider-Man gear like stickers and decals. The best part? All of this comes at the NVIDIA baseline MSRP of $300 for the RTX 4060! The new GeForce RTX 4060 being launched today is the latest in a long line of successful graphics cards by NVIDIA in this market segment, including the very popular RTX 3060, RTX 2060, and GTX 1060 that have been dominating Steam Hardware Survey charts for years now. More than two-thirds of PC gamers still play at 1080p, so NVIDIA's task with the RTX 4060 is cut out—to provide them with next-generation performance and features.
The GeForce RTX 4060 is based on the latest Ada Lovelace graphics architecture, and scores big on two important areas compared to its predecessor. Firstly, it features DLSS 3 Frame Generation, which nearly doubles framerates at comparable image quality, by generating entire alternate frames using AI, and without involving the graphics rendering machinery. and secondly, since the RTX 4060 is built on the latest 5 nm EUV foundry process, coupled with its memory sub-system innovations, it comes with a typical power draw of just 115 W, or about 50% less than that of the RTX 3060, as NVIDIA claims.
What's interesting is that the RTX 4060 is using NVIDIA's smallest GPU silicon for this generation, the 5 nm AD107, which is physically smaller than the AD106 powering the RTX 4060 Ti. This little chip still has 50% more transistors than the GA106 silicon powering the RTX 3060, although a big chunk of it could just be the eight times larger on-die last-level cache. With this generation, NVIDIA is introducing large L2 caches that in the company's testing, reduce round-trips to the video memory by anywhere between 40% and 60%, letting NVIDIA narrow the memory bus. The RTX 4060 comes with 8 GB of 17 Gbps GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit memory bus, both the memory size and bus width are 50% smaller than those of the original RTX 3060, but NVIDIA assures us that its memory sub-system innovations should more than make up for the deficit.
The Zotac RTX 4060 Spider-Man OC is built with the company's latest generation Twin Edge cooling solution. A monolithic extruded aluminium heatsink is ventilated by a pair of fans, which stay off when the GPU is idling. The card comes with a slight factory overclock 2475 MHz boost (compared to 2460 MHz reference), while the memory remains untouched at 17 Gbps. The card may look basic—the kind that you buy simply because you know what the RTX 4060 has to offer—but the slight factory OC, and a handful of Spider-Man themed goodies sweeten the deal, especially when it's not a penny more than MSRP.Short 10-Minute Video Comparing 10x RTX 4060
